Participation terms and privacy information
Event organiser and data controller
The LPAL Qualifier Tournament is organised by Peter & Schäfer GbR, Rosmarinweg 2a, 50859 Köln, Germany, operating under the Lion Pride Armwrestling League (LPAL) brand. In these terms, "LPAL" means Peter & Schäfer GbR as organiser of the qualifier tournament.
The LPAL 4 evening show and LPAL 4 tickets are organised and sold by Lion Pride Armwrestling League e.U., Lastenstraße 23, 1230 Vienna, Austria. For LPAL 4 tickets, including tickets bought in a bundle, the LPAL 4 ticket terms apply. Peter & Schäfer GbR is responsible only for the qualifier tournament.
For questions about registration, participation, or personal data, please contact business@lionpride-armwrestling.com.
1. Taking part at your own risk
Armwrestling is a contact sport with a real risk of injury, including injuries to the arm, elbow, shoulder and wrist, and in rare cases broken bones (for example of the upper arm). By registering, you confirm that you know these risks and take part voluntarily.
You confirm that you are healthy and fit to compete, and that no doctor has advised you against strength sports. If you have a medical condition or a recent injury, do not take part, or speak to your doctor first.
Liability. LPAL is liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health caused by a culpable breach of duty by LPAL, its legal representatives or its helpers. For slight negligence, LPAL is liable only for the breach of essential obligations (obligations that make the proper running of the tournament possible and on which participants may rely), limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected. LPAL is not liable for injuries that result only from the normal risks of the sport or from the actions of other participants, unless LPAL is responsible for them under the rules above.
We strongly recommend that you have your own health and accident insurance. First aid is available at the venue.
2. Rules, weigh-in and referees
- The tournament follows the LPAL rules. The referees' decisions are final.
- Every athlete must weigh in on Friday 8 January 2027 (18:00–21:00, MOTORWORLD Köln Rheinland) or Saturday 9 January 2027 (09:00–11:00, MOTORWORLD Köln Rheinland), with a photo ID.
- If you weigh more than your class, you move up to the next heavier class. A tolerance of 1 kg applies only at the Saturday weigh-in.
- Unsportsmanlike behaviour, aggression, or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs leads to disqualification.
- The schedule, classes and format can change on the day if needed for the event.
3. Athletes under 18
Athletes under 18 on 9 January 2027 may only take part with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- The parent or legal guardian gives the consent online during registration, with their name and email.
- At the weigh-in, the athlete must also bring a consent letter signed by the parent or legal guardian, with their name and phone number. A coach or another adult may accompany the athlete, but the consent must come from the parent or legal guardian.
- For athletes under 18, the optional promotional consent (point 4) can only be given by the parent or legal guardian.
Without this consent, the athlete cannot compete.
4. Photos, videos, live stream
Coverage of the tournament. The tournament is a public event. It is filmed, photographed and streamed live on LPAL's Kick channel. Your name or nickname, country, weight class and results are shown in the live stream, on screens in the hall and in the published results, and recordings of the tournament stay available afterwards (for example on Kick and YouTube). This is part of the tournament you register for.
Promotion of future events (optional). Only if you tick the separate optional box in the registration form, LPAL may also use photos and videos of you to promote future Lion Pride Armwrestling League events, for example on social media, the website and posters, without payment. You can withdraw this consent at any time by email; uses before the withdrawal stay unaffected. If you do not give this consent, it has no effect on your registration.
5. Refunds
All payments are final. There are no refunds, also not if you cannot come, miss the weigh-in, are disqualified or move to another weight class. This also applies to LPAL 4 tickets used for a bundle or for the tournament entry price.
Exceptions: the 4 athletes who are selected for the super matches at LPAL 4 get their tournament entry and their LPAL 4 ticket refunded. If LPAL cancels the tournament, you get your tournament entry back. If the tournament is postponed, your registration stays valid for the new date; if you cannot take part on the new date, you get your tournament entry back. For LPAL 4 tickets in the case of a cancellation or postponement of the evening show, the LPAL 4 ticket terms apply.
This refund policy does not affect any mandatory statutory rights under applicable German law.
6. Privacy information
What we collect: first and last name, email, date of birth (age), country, category, weight class, arm, Instagram and club (optional), your comment, whether you gave the optional promotional consent, and for athletes under 18 the name and email of the parent or legal guardian. If you buy a bundle or already have an LPAL 4 ticket, we also process your ticket details. Payment details are handled only by Stripe; LPAL never sees your card details.
